  • Battle of the Data Science Venn Diagrams

    • Drew Conway가 작성한 'Data Science Venn Diagram.'을 시작으로 해서 데이터 과학자를 정의하는 각 종 벤 다이어그램을 소개하고 있음
    • 13개의 벤 다이어 그램 중에서 약간 모자란 것 같지만 그래도 Conway의 벤 다이어그램이 좀 더 직관적임(뒤로 갈수록 너무 복잡해짐)

  • The Growing Problem of Bots That Fight Online

    • 웹에서 사용되는 Bot은 어떻게 상호작용 하는지를 위키백과를 사용해서 연구한 내용을 소개하고 있음
    • 그 중에서도 위키백과를 수정하는 과정에서 Bot과 Bot의 충돌이 났을 때 발생하는 문제를 어떻게 해야 하는지 대해서 간략하고 소개하고 있고, 자세한 사항은 논문을 참고하자!

    • 구글에서 최근 발표한 여행앱에 사용된 알고리즘과 관련된 간단한 내용을 소개하고 있음
    • 시간이 허락한다면 Euler, TSP, Christofides algorithm 등의 내용에도 관심을 가져보자!

    “If you know the places you want to visit, you can use algorithms built on top of Euler to figure out the best route,” says Google researcher Andrew Tomkins, who worked on the project. “Euler is a sub-routine for our itinerary work.” [...] “We want to pool the collective wisdom.”
